Welcome to Phil Nicholls Photography

The site cuts a swathe through Phil's 25 year career as a freelance photographer. Much of this time has been spent in the music industry, including a 12 year stint with music publication, Melody Maker (for more detail see the biog).

His work also includes corporate and fashion commissions for clients such as Peter Werth, Nokia Music, Eden Project and Jay-Z's Rocawear.

In December 2009 his 3rd book, Savoir Fare London (New York Review of Books) was nominated for the Gourmand World CookBook Awards, representing the US in the final. His previous titles include Traditional Shops & Restaurants of London and the cult classic, Classic Cafes (Black Dog Publishing) - a study of London's iconic and fast disappearing, formica-laden architectural treasures.

If you'd like to contact Phil to discuss something specific; corporate imagery, a band shoot or music archive images, fashion work or a wedding, you can get in touch using the 'Contact' link above.
